About

For fifteen years, he has lived in the silence of a forgotten shop, a man haunted by the weight of a single, irreversible choice. The Last Shop on Walnut is a cinematic exploration of the human psyche, where the past is never truly buried but merely waits beneath the surface of a life lived in isolation. This is a story of a man grappling with the shadows of his own guilt, finding the courage to confront the truth that has defined his existence for over a decade and a half.

MARVIN

Marvin Statler has spent the last fifteen years in self- confinement on the two floors of the lamp store he owns and lives above, having retreated from the outside world because of a case of agoraphobia
triggered by the murder of his father. As mounting debt, a declining business and rapid neighborhood gentrification force him sell his building, Marvin struggles against the reality that he must finally leave the cocoon he has constructed. His quiet routine, shared with Penny - his caring and loyal employee - is suddenly disrupted by Darlene, a former love interest who offers a glimpse of connection and renewal,
and his nephew,Jacob, who suddenly and unexpectedly appears late one night at his front door and triggers Marvin's feelings of guilt over the unhealed schism with his brother, Michael.
